14 Peck Slip by: Ed Dee
This novel follows two long time partners solving a ten- year- old missing person and murder victim who was an on the take cop. Dee's really held your interest through routine police work with enough red herrings to keep you going.

The Gift by: Pete Hamill
A short book about an Irish family and Christmas of 1952, around the Korean War, where a son finally gets a gift from his family which he will cherish all his life.

When the Emperor Was Divine by: Julie Otsuka
Story of one Japanese family, a mother, daughter, and son who were put into a internment camp in Utah after the bombing of Pearl Harbor in 1942; separated from their father for four years in a different camp. There are five different points of view about the whole ordeal.

Brookfield Zoo Passes

We have 4 Brookfield Zoo passes available for checkout by Adult Lansing Library Card Holders.

The pass entitles any combination of four adults or children free general admission to Brookfield Zoo during all public hours. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. Not valid with any promotional offers. Parking is not included. Expires 12/31/2007.

You can check availability in our catalog.
Passes are available first come, first served.
Offer available to Lansing Public Library adult card holders. Limit one pass per family.
$10 cash deposit required (refundable when pass is returned).
$2/day overdue fine. $50 replacement cost if pass is lost.

We will not be receiving any passes to other museums or attractions.
